This doesn't surprise me Jen. A kkk grand wizard lived in Elwood, In. It's not very far from Marion to Elwood on In. State Rd. 37.

The Ku Klux Klan rose to prominence in Indiana politics and society after World War I. It was made up of native-born, white Protestants of many income and social levels. In the changing world of the 1920s, the group was against Catholics, Jews, African-Americans, immorality, and drinking. Nationally, Indiana was said to have the most powerful Ku Klux Klan.

Even, today there is racial hatred here in Indiana. My wife as you know is a Filipina. She has people from time to time, express their hatred at her. It'd seems to never happen while I'm around.

I'm ashamed to say I was raised there! I left as soon as I could...munciecarl is right about Elwood and the K.K.K. I'm sorry your wife is treated like that.
